Slipcover Chic Living Room Makeover

The beautiful rug was to become the center piece. First, we chose a neutral paint color that’s a much cooler, oyster shade to eliminate the gold and lighten the space. The client decided that tailored slipcovers would add a comfortable linen look that would still be formal enough. The Bergere would be treated to new upholstery with ticking stripe trim and cotton fringe to add a bit of French country charm.

Designer Showhouse at the Stewart Parker House

The 221-year old Stewart Parker House in Georgetown was transformed by twelve designers into an exciting showcase of interior design. We chose to decorate an upstairs bedroom, which has four large windows with a beautiful view of the harbor. We arrived to white walls, some peeling paint, and heavy shutters on the windows. We designed our room around the theme “Summer in the South, with a Hint of Chinoiserie”.
